After experiencing a range of topics during KS3, which cover ICT and Computer Science, students are then able to choose a vocational route into ICT or a more Academic route into Computer Science.
At key stage 4, learners receive 5 hours per fortnight of timetable lessons.
Vocational ICT – Level 2 OCR IMEDIA – The Cambridge National in Creative iMedia equips students with the wide range of knowledge and skills needed to work in the creative digital media sector. They start at pre-production and develop their skills through practical assignments as they create final multimedia products.

Coursework Unit R097 – Interactive digital media
OCR Computer Science Level 2 – This GCSE in Computer Science is engaging and practical, encouraging creativity and problem solving. It encourages students to develop their understanding and application of the core concepts in computer science. Students also analyse problems in computational terms and devise creative solutions by designing, writing, testing and evaluating programs.

Business Studies is a subject which allows students to explore business behaviour and understand how a business operates and what can influence its success. Everyone can relate to a business and it fits in well with other subjects due to its relevance to so many careers and everyday life.
Enterprise is an important part of the business sector and plays a major role in the UK’s global economic status. The role of entrepreneurs is to help create wealth for the nation and its citizens through the creation of enterprises that innovate and grow the economy. According to 2019 data, there are nearly six million such businesses in the UK, employing around 16.6 million people. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) account for 99.9 per cent of the business population in the UK and account for three-fifths of the employment and around half of the turnover in the UK private sector, worth around £2.2 trillion.
