Students are taught in maths ability sets in years 7 & 8. These sets are initially determined by information from primary schools including SAT score, teacher assessment level and teacher recommendations. These sets are reviewed regularly and adjusted where appropriate. The students are given aspirational targets and lessons are planned and delivered to enhance understanding and enjoyment of the subject, as we students and staff strive together to meet these targets.

We follow the White Rose Scheme of work which is designed to develop and deepen students understanding of key concepts in Maths.

Year 7

Year 8
