A team of footballers from Perryfields took part in a special 7-a-side tournament hosted by Premier League side Aston Villa.
The KS3 SEN tournament saw Perrys compete against schools from across Birmingham, with our students coming away with silverware.
Mr Peasley helped lead the trip and says it was another great experience for those involved:
“We’ve been four times now so the team are really starting to build a good team ethic with each other, as well as the opposition schools around them. On this particular visit, whilst not being successful in the league stage, they did go on to win the cup alongside this.
There were lots of happy faces and singing on the minibus on the way back to school, and greeted by lots of applause and happy faces from Perryfields students when they arrived back. It’s something they’ll remember for a long time.”
